I've solo trapped the first parts of it, up to the smites. Its more for the sake of a challenge than for UW drops though I've gotten ectos multiple times while doing it.

I just run a build like this.
Spike Trap
Dust Trap
Barbed Trap
Flame Trap
Apply Poison
Serpents Quickness
Troll Unguent
Whirling Defense

16 Wilderness Survival
13 Expertise

If your up for a challenge then you can try this out. The basic procedure for killing of the Aaxtes at the beginning is just to put down a a couple sets of traps down at a location. Once you think you got enough, or once they start going off, pull some Aaxtes. To pull, put on apply poison and whirling then attack one. Group any aaxtes that may be in the group then bring them to the traps. Once they go off, put some more traps down then fall back. The enemies should then go back to where they started. Put some traps down then hit the same aaxte you pulled before with apply poison. Make sure to keep the aaxte your targeting poison to prevent it from regenning. Continue the process of trapping pulling and retreating till you kill the aaxtes off.

Note: I have not tried this after the new AoE changes so I'm not fully sure on how enemies will respond to AoE damage or if they will flee when you leave their aggro range.

Also I wouldn't recommend this if you don't feel like losing money because you will probably end up dieing your first times through ,or if you want a guaranteed build that is easy to follow because this is more based on experience than on following what I told you step by step.

Energizing Wind is very important or you'll run into energy problems.

In this build there is no need for EW cause there is no high cost skills. And 15M cost usually neglected with expertise
